Come to Sri Lanka and take care of at least one dog. Once that one his
healed by you there will be 20.000 other waiting for your devotion. Thanks
to this video you get the knowledge. Knowledge which gives you more
choices. Especially the choice to be less vulgar.

Making the lime-sulfur concentrate is very easy. Here is the recipe for a
batch: 40 L water, 7.6 kg sulfur, & 4.5 kg hydrated lime. The proportions
do not have to be exact. If using 90% sulfur or 95% hydrated lime, use a
little more of it. Don’t worry about any magnesium in the lime. –Won’t
hurt anything. Boil it outside for 1 hour, stirring and adding water to
compensate for evaporation. Let it cool before bottling.

@marleena77 These dogs usually start to wonder why you show interest for
them. So they get scared once you wait beside them too long. These dogs do
not believe any more in friendly humans. They are used to be ignored. At
least they will never freeze because in Sri Lanka there is no winter. If
somebody wants to set up an organization to heal such animals in that
island he will have plenty of work.

This process gives a lime-sulfur wash which is less concentrated than the
commercial LimePlus Dip (Sulfurated Lime). Dilute this homemade kind about
1:25 (instead of 1:32) for putting on skin.

Ok, Good Nathalia, I will not joke this time. I can recommend to you the
German funded dog hospital in Thalpe (Sri Lanka). I made a few videos about
this place and the doctors and nurses working there. I will upload these
videos in the future and you may see something positive. That may give you
the idea to visit Sri Lanka and also that dog hospital. It is right beside
an area for tourists, so you can have a holiday and also contribute to the
efforts to help animals. The hospital is open to visit

How can you video this… And not do anything about it… Cruel!!! Sick fuck

  7. NickVenture1 says:

@weman43 I guess there is a missunderstanding. Unless showing dogs in bad
shape is a problem for you.

  8. NickVenture1 says:

Please do not missunderstand. These ugly dog videos are just made to show
these unfortunate animals and attract attention to their problem. For sure
there are many in Lanka and they just live like that on the streets. If you
wish to help them, now that you became aware of their problem thanks to
this video, you may make a trip to Lanka and help a few of them. Also you
can make donations to the so called “German Dog Care Clinic” located in
Thalpe if this is more convenient, just as an example.

  9. NickVenture1 says:

The dog is somewhere in the area but doesn’t have a fix home.

Sulfurated lime cures these dogs. It is first diluted about 1 : 32 and
sponged onto the dog. That’s about 4 ounces poured into a gallon. Repeat
after 5 days. –About 6 times a month. You can make lime-sulfur wash. A 50
gallon batch has 36 lb of quicklime & 80 lb of sulfur; it is boiled for
about an hour. If using hydrated lime, use about 1/3 more of it. Dissolve
the lime in the water first, and get rid of any sediment, e.g. magnesium.

  11. bethpage89 says:

Just being restrained alarms and terrifies some dogs. It is best if the dog
is in your confidence enough to be happy with your petting it. Such a dog
can usually be collared and tethered, and soaked down with lime-sulfur.
Sulfurated lime in the proper concentration (diluted 1 : 32) is quite safe
if kept out of the eyes. Overdoses of Amitras or Ivermectin can easily kill
an animal. A veterinarian’s correct dosing and monitoring is needed.

  12. NickVenture1 says:

@weman43 Dear Visitor, this is not my dog and I am sure it has plenty to
eat.Just it has a skin disease which is called mange. It can be healed with
inexpensive chemicals. This is not a channel about dogs or tourist
attractions only. I have plenty of videos with different subjects. When you
will visit Lanka you will see such dogs and not be surprised. You will
already know what disease this is and recommend to the owner the right
treatment if ever they even care. But even such a dog may be happy

  13. bethpage89 says:

When making lime-sulfur, either quicklime or hydrated lime works. Magnesium
is often a component. 10% or less is ok. It does not have to be rinsed out.
It is more of a concern for commercial manufacturers; magnesium is a
catalyst for formation of hydrogen sulfide, which in evaporating diminishes
the sulfur concentration of the solution. The lime also doesn’t have to be
    put in the water first.

  14. bethpage89 says:

Neem oil might be plentiful in Sri Lanka–I don’t know. It can be very
effective against mange mites. It is so potent that it can be used in a (1
: 10) dilute form with a cheaper oil such as almond oil. Adding some
lavender oil helps make a better smell. It does not sting cuts the way lime
sulfur can. [Some dogs are quite afraid and panicky during their FIRST
baths in lime sulfur. Some dogs who permit being shampooed clean then get
frantic when they feel the sting of the lime-sulfur].
