When should I start flea prevention for my 10 week old Brittany?

Question by ~~*Paradise Dreams*~~: When should I start flea prevention for my 10 week old Brittany?
We just brought her home on Friday. I love my little cutie, we have a vet appointment in a few days for second boosters, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me when I should start flea prevention. Is she too young? Thanks All!
Stephanie, you rock, girl. I had NO idea I could get it that inexpensively, I saw it at the pet supply store for 60 bucks!

As far as I know, Frontline can be used that young. Your vet can tell you more, but it is good to start as soon as possible. Once they get infested it is near impossible to get rid of so get her treated as soon as it is safe.

I started my puppy on Frontline Plus at 9 weeks old. You can get it cheap at http://www.dog.com. You’ll get 3 treatments for about $ 30, which is cheaper than getting it at the vet.

We started using Advantage on My chihuahua at 6 weeks.

You can start right away! Go onto one of those web sites and you can get it so cheap!

You can start flea treatment on a cat or dog from 2 days of age if necessary. Many people don’t like to until fleas are actually present, although prevention is better – and easier – than cure.

Frontline spot-on can be used from 8 weeks of age, and Frontline spray from 2 days of age. Frontline has recently become available in some stores – but be aware that it is the ONLY product available in stores that actually works.
